Thu, 27 April 2006 Sci-Fi Friday Today, we look at a playful, innocentlittle game born from the mind of Ray Bradbury. Children all over the country are involved in a little diversion called “Invasion. It seems a little too real, in fact. Careful, as we count down to “Zero Hour.10/04/53 Comments[0] |

Thu, 16 February 2006 This week, Brian takes us on safari for a wonderful hunting adventure. We're going back to the Cretateous period to hunt dinosaur. You'll need to be at least this tall and weigh at least a hundred and fifty pounds. This restriction is in effect because anything less and you would not be able to use "A Gun for Dinosaur". Originally broadcast on March 7th, 1956.Comments[1] |
Fri, 10 February 2006 Brian, the Denizen of Alternate Dimensions, is proud to present a cautionary tale aimed at promoting individual thought. The mainstream culture is not always representative of reality or even conducive to a healthy community. That is the lesson today on Sci-Fi Friday, as supported by an X Minus One play originally broadcast on July 3rd, 1956 and penned by Theodore Sturgeon. Think for yourself or succumb to the personal agenda of "Mr. Costello, Hero".

Thu, 12 January 2006 Sometimes, science fiction has the science part pegged as in today's story from Dimension X. It aired on July first, 1950 and predicted that we would have home computers connected to the Internet and they would operate within logical parameters and make decision through the use of artificial intelligence. The show optimistically envisoned this would occur in 1974, but otherwise all was fairly spot on. It's too bad that in this story, the "logics" inform people with how to get away with murder. Don't let your kids turn into couch potatoes by letting the boob tube babysit. At least, that is what Ray Bradbury would teach us from today's story from Dimension X. It is from the pages of his book "The Illustrated Man" and involves two kids who enjoy living out somewhat unhealthy fantasies in the walls of their nursery. From August 9th, 1951, enjoy "The Veldt".

Thu, 29 December 2005 Even screenwriters deserve a happy new year, but that doesn't always happen. Especially when you work for a dictator for a direction who demands an original creature to rival Frankenstein's monster and wants to keep production going indefinitely. Thu, 24 November 2005 How do you live your life? If you were floating away

character you can relate to best. It will tell you
something about yourself. Enjoy the "Kaleidoscope".Comments[0] |

today’s show goes above and beyond the couch potato

Dimension X involves a technology that promises to do
just that. Robots play nursemaid to the human race.

Suspense. He's a Martian assigned the task of
completing a mission to keep Mars safe. The plan
seems to be the "ultimate solution" for Earthlings
exploring Mars. It's too bad that a beautiful Earth

ointment. Will he succeed or will that pesky love bug

Poets beware! In the year "2462", the title of
today's episode of Suspense, you can be terminated for
writing nonproductive literature. That's just what
the hero of today's story is facing as he finds
himself imprison on death row for writing poetry on
company time. Why didn't he just stick to
clockwatching like the rest of us?
